30. Herzerkopf
The Herzerkopf is officially part of the open-field system „An der Wildpretsdell“. It is mentioned for the first time in the original cadastre in 1845. The designation is very likely based on the family name „Herzer“. Johann Heinrich Herzog, later Herzer von Schopp, had already moved to Schwanden in 1735. His descendants also stayed in Kottweiler and Schwanden. It can no longer be clearly identified from the pedigree who was the actual name giver. The „Herzerkopp“ is one of the field names that is still in common use today, as the soccer field (since 2020 an artificial turf field) of the Kottweiler-Schwanden sports club is located here.
