7. Im alten Weiher

Vernacular: In de Altwiss

Between Fuchshübel and Braunenberg, an approximately 250-meter-long side valley runs up the steep slope from the Schwenderbach creek. In the early 18th century, a fish pond was created in this valley. Later, the new, larger „Schulteißen-Weiher“ was created not far from here at the Schwenderbach by an unknown mayor. From then on, the previous pond in the side valley was called „Alter Weiher“ (Old Pond) and the valley „Im alten Weiher“ (in the old pond).
